The position will also be responsible for demonstrating instruments and giving seminars. There will be a close working relationship with the customers, marketing and the telesales team. Some other responsibilities will include: When not traveling, answer technical calls as a member of the tech support call queue; Assist Applications Scientists in developing training materials for use by customers and employess for use of the Accuri products; Educate potential customers on the values of using flow cytometry in their research; Maintains excellent communications with customers, marketing, sales, technical support, applications scientists and other departments within the Company, actively solicits input into decision-making processes and provides information regarding opportunities; Works with the Chief Commercial Officer, marketing and sales to propose additional products that meet customers' needs and fit within the strategic goals of the company.
Experience: In-depth knowledge and skills in an appropriate science as is typically obtained through an advanced degree program, BS or MS Degree in the Life Sciences plus at least five years experience in flow cytometry. A Ph.D. in Immunology is a plus. Excellent knowledge of flow cytometry products and reagents; excellent ability to communicate information about these products and reagents to outside contacts. Excellent ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Location: The territory is the East Coast but most of the focus will be the Mid-Atlantic States. Overnight travel estimate around 40-60% depending on candidates' residence.
Pay Range: $50 - $70,000/ year plus Bonus and Stock Options
